George and Cindy Anthony Dr. Phil interview (full videos on YouTube)

New: Follow the Casey Anthony Case on Facebook and on Twitter

George and Cindy Anthony granted an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil on September 13, 2011.  The most stunning aspect of the interview was that George and Cindy were at complete odds with one another.  George Anthony had no support for his daughter, Casey, while Cindy seemed to believe Casey’s stories hook, line and sinker.  Casey Anthony was charged with first degree murder, aggravated first degree manslaughter and aggravated child abuse stemming from the June 2008 death and disappearance of her two-year-old daughter Caylee.  In addition to the three charges, Anthony faced another four counts of lying to law enforcement officers for failing to help with an initial investigation into her daughter’s whereabouts.  That investigation began on July 15, 2008.

During Casey Anthony’s murder trial, her defense attorney, Jose Baez, stated that Casey was sexually abused by her father and that the two were home when they discovered Caylee’s body dead in the family swimming pool.  The date, given by Attorney Jose Baez, was June 16, 2008.  During Cindy Anthony’s interview with Dr. Phil, she stated that she believed her daughter’s story about Caylee drowning in the swimming pool.  She did say, however, that she did not believe that George Anthony ever sexually abused their daughter.

George Anthony revealed a different story as he stated he believed Casey may have been drugging Caylee so she could go party and may have accidentally overdosed her.  One of the most shocking statements made during the interview was that she believed her granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, received justice when Casey walked out of court a free woman.
