Tiger Woods infidelity scandal leaves golf world in spin.

On November 27, 2009, Tiger Woods was involved in a single vehicle car accident and the media has been following the details of his scandal ever since. Rumors and speculation surrounding Tiger and Elin’s marriage quickly surfaced even suggesting the possibility that domestic violence was involved. No one has publicly seen Tiger since his accident and the full extent of his injuries have also been the subject of debate.

The word ‘infidelity’ hadn’t been used in the scandal until Tiger Woods released a statement on December 11, 2009. Until then, he said he was guilty of transgressions and sins. As 13 mistresses, 9 named and 4 unnamed came to the surface, speculation regarding Tiger’s infidelity became tabloid fodder. Every detail regarding every woman who claimed to be with Tiger dominated headlines worldwide. Meanwhile, Tiger and his wife, Elin kept a low profile not saying a word publicly. Not everyone believes all of the claims made by the mistresses and Tiger has yet to announce publicly which (or if all) of the alleged mistresses are telling the truth. The public does know for certainty now, however, that he did cheat on his wife.

Tiger Woods announced his hiatus from golf on December 11, 2009, leaving the golf world in a spin. There is no doubt that Tiger’s absence will be missed and will cost the PGA money as he attempts to regain the trust of his wife. Sponsors are dropping Tiger and reassessing their relationship with the pro golfer. Gillette has pulled back their ads and will not be airing Tiger’s commercials until a later dater, they have not said when that date may be.

Right now, it is fair to say that the world is waiting on Tiger Woods’ to announce his next professional and personal moves.
