According to the National Cancer Institute there have been 219,440 lung cancer cases and 159,390 deaths attributed to lung cancer in 2009. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.
The following articles will detail the signs and symptoms of lung cancer, what it is, and how states across the nation will draw awareness to lung cancer this month. Clinical trials are underway and we’ll bring you that information as well. Despite what many think, lung cancer is not reserved solely for the smoker. We’ll bring you risk factors and steps that you can take to lower your chances of developing this progressive and lethal disease.
