Shaniya Davis found dead The body believed to be Shaniya Davis was found today on Walker Road, off of N.C. 87. The missing 5 year-old has been the subject of a nationwide search. She was last seen on surveillance video with a man, Mario Andrette McNeill as he carried her into a Comfort Suites hotel the day of her kidnapping. Her body was found approximately 7 miles from the hotel. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Shaniya Davis’ mother was in court today. She faces charges of child abuse including prostitution, filing a false police report, and human trafficking. Authorities allege that Shaniya Davis’ mother, Antoinette Davis sold her daughter to Mario Andrette McNeil. McNeill is reported to be the ex-boyfriend of Antoinette’s sister. After surveillance video showed Andrette McNeil carrying Shaniya Davis into a hotel, he turned himself in to authorities. He has been charged with first degree kidnapping. He is expected to plead not guilty to the charges.
Antoinette Davis stood before a judge today and was told that she is facing up to 40 years in prison. Currently, her bail is set at $51,000. The mother stood before the judge showing very little emotion, answering his questions in a quiet tone. She did not appear visibly upset, nor did she break down and show any tears in court. Authorities state that neither Shaniya’s mother nor Mario McNeill actively participated in searching for Shaniya since her disappearance on November 10, 2009. A spokesperson for the Fayetteville Police Department referred to Mario McNeill as being extremely uncooperative.
Police have kept many details quiet and haven’t released information such as cause of death, how Shaniya was found and whether Mario McNeill or Antoinette Davis will face additional charges. Currently, an autopsy is being performed and evidence is being gathered.
Shaniya Davis’ father, Bradley Lockhart appeared on CBS’ Early Show this morning pleading for his daughter’s return. He stated, “Drop her off at Wal-Mart, anywhere, I don’t care – just so somebody can find her and bring her back to the people that love her.” The tragic news regarding Shaniya Davis’ body being found was announced several hours after Bradley Lockhart’s plea.

i cannot believe that anyone especially a so called “mother” could do such a thing to a child. It is unbelievable. The man and the mother alt to have, a million times, whatever was done to her done to them. Its disgusting and sad. My prayers and thought are with her daddy and the family.

I am sitting here in tears. what that child had to have gone thru just is beyond words. no child deserves to be sold by their parent to a scum bag man and then killed. i hate that we have to pay taxes to keep scum like this alive and fed in prison. i am so fed up with our government not taking care of our children. and to her mother may she die a very painful death as im sure her daughter did.

My heart goes out to her Father and Aunt. I cried just thinking of the pain she may have felt and the confusion her five year old brain was trying to make sense of. How can people be so evil? Just the look on her face as she looked toward the elevator getting ready to face the true evils of this world at such a young age. She was innocent and yet we couldn’t protect her. I don’t think her mother or the man that took her deserve a seat in Hell. The devil himself should be ashamed to take them. Who can you trust when your own mom will betray you?

The Shaniya Davis story has truly touched my heart. I hope that justice prevails and anyone who had anything to do with her death are given the punishment they deserve. From someone who doesnt have kids yet, it makes me sad to know someone who has been given such a blessing could allow something so disgusting to happen to her does not deserve to breathe the same air as me. My heart goes out to her family and especially her dad, there is nothing like the love of a daddy and his daughter, its just not fair she was taken from her family. Heaven has a new beautiful angel…

This is a death penalty case if I’ve ever seen one! I can’t escape the images of that DEFENSELESS little girl being carried up the elevator by that MONSTER. What’s worse is this LOSER is pregnant yet again! I find it hard to believe that her boyfriend had nothing to do with this. I know the charges against him were dropped, but he had to know something about what was going on if he’s her boyfriend and he’s staying in that home. People are absolutely sick and it seems the evil in this world is multiplying by 10 daily. The internet can be a great tool, but it seems since the invention of it, things have gotten SOOOO much worse!!! Rest peacefully sweet angel!

This is one of the most horrible things I’ve ever heard of in my life, and to think it all happened just miles from my home. I’ve watched it all on the news, and I just can’t stop crying. How could anyone do such horrible things to their own beautiful little daughter?? I am praying special prayers tonight for her father and the rest of the family, and I’m thanking God a million times for my own daughter being safe in her bed.

I can’t believe what I’m hearing! I hope that she gets all the harsh treatment in prision! I hope they tare her apart and leave her for the rats! This women should never have been able to have kids. I just don’t see why God would put this little girl in a womens life, when people like myself are having a hard time having childern! Why in the hell would the state allow a monster like this to have her or any child back!
God is protecting this little angel from now on, I pray for the father and the true family of this little girl!
I just can’t picture what she went through before God stepped in and took her with him!
The monsters need to be set in public and allow everyone that loved this little girl and has a heart for this little girl, take care of them! If I had the power I would lock her up and allow this little girls father let lose on her, then burn the monster and forget she was even born! I await the day I hear this monster and her monster male die a painful and long death! I will enjoy to know when I am in heaven I get to look down and see them again being tore up by hell! Give no remorse to these monsters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when I think there can’t be a more monsterous story out of the US — I hear another one!
What is wrong with your country. Drugs, abused children, serial killers, mothers who kill their children, sickos who steal and abuse other people’s chidren, women who sexually assault little girls. What is wrong with you people? People who kill people because they are gay. Preachers who cavort with prostitutes – while professing family values from the pulpit. Christian right politicians who have sex in airport washrooms — . I haven’t mentioned the crooks in your financial system yet. You need your moral compass tuned up down there.

This disgusting pig of a woman and that putrid scumbag should together rot in the pits of hell.Just as I cannot believe it can be any worse in this world, I turn on the news to hear about this shocker…which has made me physically ill. I am so angry right now that this POS is carrying another child in her belly. After the birth of that child, she should be exterminated like the lowly pig she is. What is wrong with people? The most horrible aspect of this story is that the image of that big nasty pig carrying that child will be forever in my mind…and the blanket found..covered in feces? Something needs to be done to protect our children from lowlife losers like these two. God will have vengance upon them!

this case has really gotten to me. the others are also so sad, but the image of that sh-t hole carrying that innocent child into that hotel & her confused little face, hours before her death, her little hair all over her head, looking toward the elevators not realizing; oh, i just can’t hold back the tears. what she must have gone through……. that mammie fu-king s o b needs to be castrated with a dull razor & the mother, the so-called mother, need her a$$ kicked with a # 12 boot and then skin her alive.

Until we force our governement to actually punish these sexual predators these kinds of things will continue to happen and they will happen more frequently as offenders are emboldned by our lack of committment to protect our children. Our lawmakers will do nothing until we make them with votes, letters and demands. If you want to make sure these atrocities are few and far between do more than cry in front of the tv, get mad, get pissed, and let the leaders in your city, county, state and country know you will not sit by and allow our children to be preyed upon without severe consequenses. Personally, i would like to see each first time violent sex offender executed on prime time television, that will at least make a sick sob think twice before killing an innocent.
