On November 19, 2009, Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez filed a motion in limine to introduce prior bad acts and other circumstantial evidence pertaining to Roy M. Kronk. Roy Kronk is the meter reader who discovered Caylee Anthony’s remains in the wooded area not far from the Anthony home. The motion states that the defense has circumstantial evidence that shows that Roy Kronk is the person responsible for the murder of Caylee Marie Anthony.
Some of the evidence introduced in the motion includes evidence indicating that Roy Kronk has a possible history of inappropriate behavior with young girls. This evidence allegedly indicates that Roy Kronk has a history of abusing, restraining, and holding women against their will. The evidence also alleges that Roy Kronk has used duct tape in the past for restraining women and that he had previously bragged about the use of his “100-mile-an-hour-tape” that was used for the purpose of restraining women. Other possible evidence alleged in the motion includes that Roy Kronk is obsessed with a world of fantasy and violence. The defense team for Casey Anthony has stated that they will do whatever is necessary to prove their client’s innocence. In addition to the filing of the motion, Jose Baez, defense attorney for Casey Anthony appeared this weekend on Issues with Jane-Velez Mitchell.
The motion also points to statements that Roy Kronk knew where Caylee Anthony’s remains were located in November 2008, and that he had ample time to alter or control the remains before they were ultimately found on December 11, 2008. Some of the witnesses that defense team for Casey Anthony are introducing include Roy Kronk’s son, Brandon Sparks; Roy Kronk’s ex-wife, Crystal Sparks, Roy Kronk’s other ex wife, Jill Kerley, and the daughter of Roy Kronk’s ex girlfriend, April Hensley.
Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez sat down with Jane Velez-Mitchell for issues and conducted an interview regarding his high-profile client. Jane Velez-Mitchell began by welcoming him to her show, Issues. She stated that she had plenty of questions to discuss but wanted to begin with the motion that was recently filed. The motion was filed by defense for Casey Anthony and points to Roy Kronk, the meter reader who found Caylee Anthony’s remains as being the person who murdered her.
Jose Baez began by thanking Jane Velez-Mitchell for having him on the show and stated that there wasn’t a problem with filing the motion on behalf of Casey Anthony, but that it is rather standard protocol. He said, “Trials aren`t scripted events, so that`s why the motion was filed to see if the judge will find it to be admissible and if it is, we move on from there.”
Jane Velez-Mitchell than asked how the defense managed to gather all the evidence pertained in the motion. She mentioned that it isn’t difficult to find an ex-wife who is willing to say incriminating things about their ex. Jane said of all the people, it is the ex-wife who has an axe to grind. Jose Baez answered and discussed how they found witnesses involved with the motion.
“I totally understand and the witnesses that were put forth in this motion are two ex-wives, as well as a former girlfriend`s daughter in which he lived with, and his own son. And all of these people, absent the sparks, don`t even know each other. So, you know, that`s one of the things we found interesting. We did what any — what we believe any good lawyer would do, and that`s investigate the case, and investigate all of the critical witnesses. What we`re most disappointed in is that the law enforcement never investigated this critical witness the way they should have. Otherwise, they certainly would have found this information and not have to rely on us to find it.” Jose Baez, attorney for Casey Anthony said.

Newly revealed reports showed a connection between Casey Anthony and her daughter Caylee Anthony’s death as evidence of a Gatorade bottle and syringe that contained traces of chloroform were found near Caylee’s skeletal remains. While many speculated that this was the smoking gun that would blow away the case, Casey Anthony’s attorney states that the chloroform was blown out of proportion. According to a report by the Orlando Sentinel and Hal Bodeker, WKMG Channel 6 reporter Tony Pipitone called in a private chemist who tested the chloroform and stated that the traces were miniscule and insignificant.
What about the syringe?
There is no way to determine how Caylee Anthony died, and the prosecution as well as potential jurors know that. What has been found, might be more damning to Casey Anthony than the amount of chloroform found in the syringe. How hard will it be for the prosecution to show that the syringe buried near Caylee’s lifeless body was connected to her murder?
No matter what was in that syringe, it will not be difficult for the prosecution to prove that the syringe was connected to Caylee’s death. The fact that it was buried with her body is enough to prove sinister intent.
Caylee Anthony was injected with something. The syringe was found buried by her body, and it is clear that evidence used in her murder was buried with her.
Since Caylee was not a diabetic or required intramuscular injections, the syringe itself is damning evidence against Casey.
Many believe the prosecution is still holding on to its ‘smoking gun’ but unfortunately for the defense, the real blow to Casey’s defense might just be the syringe itself, regardless of what it contained or how much.
The prosecution does not have to prove how Casey Anthony killed Caylee, only that she did it.
The syringe is proof that Caylee’s body was injected with something that killed her or sedated her while she suffocated; therefore the instruments of death were buried alongside her. And don’t forget the duct tape that covered her nose and mouth. It has already been confirmed that Caylee Anthony was murdered. The cause of death is homicide by undetermined means. Whether or not the contents of the syringe are known is meaningless. The syringe alone shows that something was injected into Caylee, and then when she was dead, it was thrown away with her as if she were trash.
The potential jurors will go into trial knowing that the cause of death is undetermined. Will the amount of chloroform and testosterone in the syringe really be enough to set Casey Anthony free or will the syringe be the damning piece of evidence that sends Casey Anthony to the electric chair?
Newly revealed evidence in the Casey Anthony case reveals her to be a cold blooded killer, and not one who accidentally overdosed her child on a mix of homemade chloroform and testosterone. The idea that a mother would intentionally murder her child still shocks and is often found unbelievable, even though current news reports show that women are just as capable of cold, calculated murder against their own flesh and blood. That doesn’t lessen the astonishment, however, when it occurs. The revelation of a syringe with traces of chloroform paints the picture of Casey Anthony as a cold hearted murderess who purposefully and intentionally planned to murder Caylee Anthony.
Will the newly revealed evidence be enough to bring George and Cindy Anthony the revelation they need to finally remove the Casey colored blinders they’ve been wearing?
There is still a chance that the prosecution is withholding more bombshell evidence from the public, such as DNA evidence on the syringe or Gatorade bottle.
The revelation of chloroform in the Gatorade bottle and syringe near Caylee Anthony’s skeletal remains combined with the information that someone in the home was previously searching chloroform recipes is huge. However, it is important to remember that the computer searches were not only for chloroform, but also for neck breaking. There is no way to confirm whether or not Caylee Anthony’s neck had been broken, but if it were, it would have accelerated the rate of detachment of the skull from the rest of the body. Caylee Anthony’s skull was found separate from the rest of her bones.
The horrific thought that Casey Anthony injected Caylee Anthony with chloroform then broke her neck paints Casey Anthony as a cold blooded killer, and not someone who tried to sedate her daughter so she could go out and party. Traces of chloroform were also found in the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car.
It’s important to remember that the medical examiner ruled Caylee Anthony’s death as homicide by undetermined means, but the evidence that links chloroform to Caylee Anthony might be the nail that seals Casey Anthony’s fate.
Casey Anthony is furious over the Steven Soderbergh play Tot Mom, according to a report by the National Enquirer. Though many are also upset that Steven Soderbergh has turned the saga of Casey Anthony, who is charged with first degree murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, many wonder if the National Enquirer report is true.
The National Enquire wrote an article titled, “Casey rants over play about Caylee” and continues to quote an anonymous jail source who describes Casey Anthony’s demeanor after hearing that Soderbergh would run the play from December 18, 2009 until January 31, 2010. The play is set to star Cate Blanchett and Essie Davis.
According to the Orlando Sentinel’s Hal Boedeker, the report is a complete fabrication as his sources from the Orlando County Jail have revealed. The National Enquirer has a history of fabricating stories and often prints stories that border on factual truths.
The Enquirer published the first photo of Jaycee Dugard that was on the back of Phillip Garrido’s business card. After the publication, spokesperson for the Jaycee Dugard family quickly took to the media to denounce the image as not being Jaycee. Both Casey Anthony and Jaycee Dugard’s case have garnered plenty of media attention and it is common in high profile cases for certain publications to fabricate stories to promote sales.
According to the Orlando Sentinel and Hal Boedeker’s sources, Casey Anthony has never acted out in jail or created a disturbance. A quote from Allen Moore, in Boedeker’s article states that the Enquirer has shown little regard for truth when it pertains to Casey Anthony.
The play Tot Mom was written from police reports, discovery released to the public, and episodes from the Nancy Grace show. No one from the Anthony family, nor Casey Anthony herself stands to gain anything from the play.
Casey Anthony is expected to stand trial in the summer of 2010.
The shocking news that traces of chloroform was found in a syringe near Caylee Anthony’s skeletal remains has riveted the case to new proportions. It was revealed yesterday, amongst approximately 2000 documents, that the prosecution had the proverbially smoking gun all along. Theories flew out the window as soon as the images of the syringe and Gatorade bottle were made public. What was left was a more sinister picture of Casey Anthony than many dared realize. As many tried to soften the reality of what might have happened to Caylee Anthony numerous theories and conjectures surfaced.
The first and most vocal of these may have been the theory given by Leonard Padilla himself. Night after night he would appear on the Nancy Grace show and give his supposed scenario regarding what happened to little Caylee Anthony. It had been released previously that Casey Anthony had searched for neck breaking and chloroform on her home computer (though the defense will point out that someone else might have been the one making those searches); the idea that Casey Anthony had used chloroform to sedate Caylee Anthony was frequently discussed. What hadn’t been discussed was the notion that Casey Anthony purposefully and brutally injected Caylee’s little two year old body with a syringe full of chloroform.
The Prosecution has been saving their best evidence for last and this is going to be hard for the defense to get around. No doubt, they’ll try. But no longer is the image of Casey trying to sedate Caylee so she can go out and party a relevant issue. The evidence screams premeditated murder and the proof is in the syringe.
Also found with the syringe was a Gatorade bottle that also showed traces of chloroform. It might be possible that the Defense is continuing to hold out on their most prized evidence: DNA. There is a great chance that the State has DNA evidence linking Casey to the Gatorade bottle and Caylee Anthony to the syringe. If not, it appears that they have more than enough evidence to convict.
They better hurry on finding that impartial jury for Casey’s trial. With the new upcoming play Tot Mom it appears Australia is out of the question. Maybe they should consider moving it to Antarctica.
Today, more than 2000 documents were released in the Casey Anthony case. The evidence is nothing less than shocking as it shows that there is a direct connection between Casey Anthony and chloroform. The photos below were released in today’s discovery. In the photos you can see a Gatorade bottle and a syringe. The Gatorade bottle and syringe both tested positive for chloroform.
Today, nearly 2,100 photos and documents were released in the Casey Anthony case. Casey Anthony is expected to stand trial the summer of 2010 for the first degree murder of her daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. Released in the reports and photos is a number of incriminating evidence. The first photos of chloroform released to the public links Casey Anthony to the searches on her computer for chloroform and neck breaking with evidence found by Caylee Anthony’s remains.
The entomology report focuses on evidence that was found within Casey Anthony’s trunk. When the vehicle was impounded, Cindy Anthony and George Anthony remarked that the vehicle smelled as if a dead body had been in it. Cindy Anthony made the remark during her second 911 phone call. Later, Cindy Anthony recounted her statement and said the smell was due to rotting pizza. According to the entomology report released today, the smell was due to decomposing flesh as evidenced by the flies discovered in the trunk of the vehicle.
You may read the entomology report below.
One of the most startling pieces of information in the entomology report is the mention of ‘coffin flies.’ Known as the scuttle fly, the coffin fly is often seen when there is decaying flesh. The entomology report reveals that the coffin fly was recovered from inside a white plastic trash bag that was inside the trunk of Casey Anthony’s white Pontiac Sunbird vehicle.
They also discovered phorid flies, which signifies advanced decomposition. The report estimates that flesh from Caylee Anthony’s body, while in the trunk of the vehicle parked in the hot, Florida sun would have completely deteriorated within one week’s time. The estimation due to the report is that all flesh would have been removed by June 27, 2008. This was based upon the fact that the car was impounded on June 30, 2008.
Explosive evidence in the Casey Anthony case was released today. In addition to the nearly 10,000 documents already released, the Prosecutor’s office released approximately 2000 documents. Most shocking, however, were photos of a bottle and syringe that contained traces of chloroform.
Traces of Chloroform
Several photos from the documents are sure to blow this case wide open. There is a bottle of Cool Blue flavor Gatorade with an unknown liquid in it (according to the report).
Inside the bottle, in the FBI photograph, is the photo of a plastic bag that contains a syringe. It is labeled “Disposable Syringe Kit” and there is the photo of a plastic syringe. The FBI chemical tests confirmed that within the syringe there was found chloroform, testosterone, ethanol, and water.
The release of this evidence is set to bring a new aspect to the case. Defense attorneys for Casey Anthony continually stated that there was no ‘hard’ or conclusive evidence that linked their client, Casey Anthony to the murder and death of Caylee Anthony. Not only do they have chloroform evidence, but the state also has records on a computer within the Anthony home that showed searches for how to make chloroform and neck breaking.
It had been suspected by many that Casey Anthony used chloroform to sedate Caylee Anthony, however, until today’s release the public was unaware whether or not the state had conclusive evidence linking Casey to chloroform. It might be that the prosecution has decided to release this evidence in response to the defense’ motion to dismiss due to defective indictment and the preclude to death procedures.
In addition to the bottle and syringes, a doll was found near Caylee Anthony’s remains. The doll had a yellow stain which was revealed to have traces of chloroform in early testing. That evidence was refuted in July as being a urine stain. However, the chloroform traces in the Gatorade bottle and syringe have not been contested.
