Tiger Woods update: Should Elin Nordegren remained silent or was People interview good idea?
Elin Nordegren remained silent throughout the nine months saga which was the ending of her marriage. From the time of the car accident to the parade of fifteen known mistresses which were named, Elin never said a word. Reports circulated saying that Tiger Woods had paid his estranged wife to keep her silence.
So what gives?
Elin Woods says she has been through hell
Did Elin break her silence according to an arrangement with Tiger following the divorce, or like many other rumors ($750 million divorce settlement which didn’t happen) was this just another case of misinformation. Regardless of whether Tiger and Elin had worked out the details opening the way for Elin to speak, the question must be asked whether Elin Nordegren’s People interview was a good idea.
Do you think Elin should have remained silent or do you think she empowered herself by speaking publicly?
Some have expressed the opinion that Elin Nordegren made herself a media target by speaking out while others say that she did the right thing.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are officially divorced and we have the divorce papers to prove it. You may read Tiger Woods divorce papers in the document embedded below. After months of secrecy regarding the divorce the papers and a new interview with Elin Nordegren in People magazine are finally revealing details regarding the couple’s divorce. Tiger and Elin’s divorce was filed on the grounds that the marriage was irretrievably broken.
The divorce papers also say that on July 3, 2010 and July 4, 2010 the couple signed a marital settlement agreement and a parenting plan. The couple’s divorce was finalized on August 23, 2010.
Now that Tiger and Elin’s divorce is over many rumors and gossip that had plagued the couple since the infamous car crash last November have been dispelled. For months it seemed that Elin Nordegren would receive a $700 million settlement. It appears that the settlement is closer to $100 million.
The newest rumor surrounding Tiger Woods was posted on TMZ and says that Rachel Uchitel wants Tiger back. We’re wondering how Rachel could find time for Tiger after the exposure of an affair with David Boreanaz and now the rumored affair with actor Jeremy London.
Whether or not Tiger and Rachel eventually hook up, well only time will tell. It will be interesting to see if any of Tiger’s alleged mistresses try to

make a play for him now that he is single.
Our guess is that if any of the mistresses want Tiger back it may be Joslyn James, considering all she went through to follow him across the country after the affair.
As for Elin Nordegren, she told People magazine that she has literally been through hell as a result of this.

Elin to resume maiden name now that divorce from Tiger Woods is final
Elin Woods will now be known by her maiden name, “Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren” now that her divorce from world renowned golfer Tiger Woods is final. To say that it has been a long 9 months for Elin would be an understatement. The world watched as her life was turned upside down and she publicly endured the greatest pain, heartache and humiliation any wife could experience. Through it all, Elin Nordegren held her head high, never lashed out in anger, and never publicly accused or attacked her now ex-husband’s many alleged lovers.
Every photo captured by paparazzi showed Elin Woods with children in tow. Not one photo ever surfaced of Elin leaving the children with babysitters so that she could party in nightclubs. No, Elin would be followed leaving her home while she went to pick up her children at school. Elin would frequently be photographed with one or two babies in her arms. There is no doubt about it, Elin Nordegren handled this very public, humiliating experience with grace and class.
In a statement released it was learned that the couple was saddened at the end of their marriage. People reports that the couple divorced under the ‘Irretrievably Broken’ option. Florida is a no fault divorce state therefore there was no public divorce trial or a parade of mistresses called in to testify. In a weird way, Tiger was in the best state to get a divorce for his alleged actions.
The couple completed a 4-hour parenting class which is required by Florida law before any couple gets a divorce that has children together. The class discusses and teaches parents how to maintain a healthy relationship for the sake of their children and warns parents of the psychological harm and damage that may result when divorced parents use their children as pawns to hurt each other.
It appears that Tiger and Elin are in agreement to conduct their divorce in the best manner for their children. In a statement Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren said, “The primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”

Though we don’t know all the details regarding Tiger Woods and Elin Woods divorce settlement, the two have announced their divorce is final. Tiger and Elin released a joint statement after appearing in a Panama City, Florida court.
Tiger and Elin have two children: Sam Alexis who is three-years-old and Charlie Axel who is one-years old. It was not announced whether the couple has shared custody or if sole custody was granted to Elin. Since Florida is a no fault divorce state, it is highly unlikely that the sole

custody would have been granted to Elin. In Florida, Tiger Woods’ alleged affairs would bear little weight on the divorce.
Elin Nordegren Woods was represented by her sister’s law firm: McGuireWoods. It is unclear whether Elin chose to return to her maiden name or if she will keep the last name Woods. Some women choose to keep the same name as their children.
The couple released a statement. It reads as follows, “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future,” they said in a statement released by Nordegren’s Virginia-based law firm of McGuireWoods. “While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
“Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”

Tiger Woods update: Should Elin Woods take children to Sweden?
Elin Woods to get a reported $100 million
With Tiger Woods and Elin’s divorce ready to be finalized, a new report suggests that Elin Woods plans on taking the children to Sweden, possibly to live. Should Elin take the children to Sweden and leave the United States?
There is no doubt that Elin Woods has been humiliated beyond belief by Tiger Woods’ scandal and string of mistresses. Whether or not that humiliation will cause her to leave the country and return to her homeland remains to be seen. Recent reports by TMZ state that Elin and Tiger have arranged in their divorce that she has the right to move with the children if desired.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods continues to try and reclaim his former glory years but continues to struggle with his golf comeback. Some wonder if Tiger can ever live up to the height of his career he formerly reached.
Elin Woods has traveled rather extensively with the children since the scandal has gone public. She has been to Sweden and took the children to China for a visit with her brother. What do you think? Do you think Elin Woods should move to Sweden with the children?

Tiger Woods update: Elin Woods to take kids to Sweden after divorce
Tiger Woods and family
According to the latest reports in the Tiger Woods divorce drama, Elin Woods may take the couple’s two children back to Sweden with her. TMZ broke the news on their website. It is unclear whether this would be a permanent move or another vacation. Tiger Woods spoke at a recent press conference and said that he would not go to Scotland to practice for his next golf game but would return home to see his children. Does this mean that Tiger needs to spend as much time with the children before they leave for Sweden?
There is a vast amount of speculation circulating Tiger and Elin’s divorce and it is unclear how much Elin will receive in a divorce settlement. Some reports say that she will get $100 million and others suggest that figure may be as high as $750 million. TMZ also reports that according to the couple’s divorce agreement, Elin may bring the children to Sweden to live. This has not been confirmed by anyone in Tiger’s camp, however.
It wouldn’t be unfeasible for Elin to move with the children to Sweden after the couple’s divorce. With Tiger’s lifestyle, income and ability to fly out of the country, it wouldn’t be the same as if the common citizen moved with children out of country following a divorce.

Tiger Woods, Elin Woods, and Sam Woods
As Tiger Woods and Elin Woods continue to make headlines with their divorce and speculation regarding Elin’s divorce settlement, Tiger surprised the nation by comments he made during an interview. As Tiger sat for questions in Ireland, he announced that he wouldn’t go to Scotland after playing in the J.P. McManus Invitational Pro Am, but would rather go home to Florida to see his children.
In the interview he was asked how he would prepare for the British Open at St. Andrews and he answered simply by saying, “Practicing.” When asked where Tiger would practice for the event that he has won twice previously (2000 and 2005) he said that he would play at home. He then repeated that he needs to get home. Upon further pushing he answered, “See my kids.”
Is this the first time Tiger has publicly stated since the scandal that he was putting his children before golf?
With the voluminous media coverage following Tiger and Elin’s every move it is difficult to separate fact from fiction. It’s also difficult to get a straight answer from Tiger. Many believe that if Tiger had simply been upfront and honest with the public from the beginning the scandal never would have exploded to the chaotic disaster it is today. Early reports had suggested that Elin was upset with Tiger for putting golf before his family and returning to the game so quickly after leaving rehab.
Maybe it just took Tiger an additional 7 months to realize how important his family truly is; unfortunately, with the impending divorce, it seems he may have realized it a bit too late.

Tiger Woods update: Elin Woods and the divorce settlement
Elin Woods to get a reported $100 million
Tiger Woods and Elin have been the source of media speculation since it was first revealed that Tiger had been unfaithful. Though married to a beautiful blonde bombshell and former model, Tiger couldn’t stay away from the lures of strippers, porn stars and apparently anything that was female and surgically enhanced in the bust line. Now, reports state that the divorce is imminent and Elin Woods is about to make a pretty penny for her humiliation. Just how much she’ll receive, however, is up for debate.
Some reports suggest that Elin will get $100 million while others put the figure as high as $750 million. Other reports say that Tiger is worth up to $600 million, therefore Elin won’t get the latter figure. Other reports have suggested that Tiger wants Elin to file a confidentiality clause which would prohibit her from speaking about the divorce or her marriage.

Tiger Woods update: Elin Woods won’t get $750 million in divorce settlement
Elin Woods to get a reported $100 million
The details regarding Tiger and Elin Woods divorce settlement are coming into public light but new reports say that the amount Elin Woods will get is not $750 million. For months, tabloids have reported that Elin would get $750 million but recent reports suggest that Tiger isn’t even worth that much. Elin will only get a percentage of his estimated worth, she certainly isn’t going to get more than he has.
The reports are still provided by anonymous sources but a more realistic figure, based upon reports by TMZ and Bloomberg business regarding Tiger’s net worth would be closer to $100 million.
Rachel Uchitel was reportedly paid $10 million in exchange for her silence regarding her affair with Tiger Woods. She wasn’t Tiger’s first mistress, but she was the first to be named. The National Enquirer exposed the story and it is believed that Elin and Tiger fought about the story the night that Tiger soon crashed into a tree.
Elin and Tiger’s divorce is expected to be finalized at any moment.

Tiger Woods update: Forbes discredits report that Elin Woods divorce settlement is $750 million
Elin Woods to get a reported $750 million-
Reports have circulated for months saying that Elin Woods seeks a divorce settlement of $750 million. At the same time, Forbes has calculated Tiger’s worth and says that it isn’t possible for Elin Woods to receive a $750 million divorce settlement because Tiger Woods simply isn’t worth that much- though he is worth a lot. According to Forbes, Tiger would need to be worth $1.5 billion to garner such a settlement for Elin, Forbes says by their accounts- he’s not.
The debate was fueled with reports by the Sun stating that Elin would get the $750 million. With no divorce papers signed and kept hidden from the public it is impossible to tell the exact amount.
Numerous reports have cited the $750 million figure, if it is false then one wonders where it came from.
Forbes states that Tiger Woods was the first athlete to earn a cumulative $1 billion through prize money but believes that due to taxes and his agents cut he simply doesn’t have the $1.5 billion needed to shell out such a hefty payment.
